    Over the years, Hollywood has portrayed Warrant Officers as tough, principled, and driven fighters. Famous franchises such as Star Wars, Star Trek, and GI Joe has had Warrant Officers on their team. Denzel Washington, Sigourney Weaver, John Travolta, and Matt Damon are just some of the actors and actresses that have portrayed Warrant Officers on television and film. This article explores the various roles of Warrant Officers in television and film.

Alien – Warrant Officer Ripley played by Sigourney Weaver

The Finest Hours – Warrant Officer Daniel Cluff portrayed by Eric Bana

The General’s Daughter – Chief Warrant Officer Four Paul Brenner played by John Travolta

G.I. Joe – Chief Warrant Officer Flint portrayed by Donald Joseph "D. J." Cotrona in the film G.I. Joe: Retaliation. He was also voiced by various people in the 1980s cartoon series.

G.I. Joe – Chief Warrant Officer Four Torpedo voiced by various people in the 1980s cartoon series. Although sometimes referred to by his codename “LT Torpedo,” this character is a Warrant Officer.

The Green Zone – Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller portrayed by Matt Damon.

Hyena Road – Warrant Officer Ryan Sanders portrayed by Rossif Sutherland

Magnificent Seven – Warrant Officer Sam Chisolm portrayed by Denzel Washington.

The Unit – Warrant Officer One Bridget Sullivan portrayed by Nicole Steinwedell.

Star Trek - Chief Warrant Officer Miles Edward O'Brien portrayed by Colm Meaney. Although sometimes referred to as a Chief Petty Officer on some websites, actual scripts show that he is a Warrant Officer.
